Bio

Widely recognized as one of the hardest working leaders in today’s civil rights, women’s rights, and social justice movements, Melanie Campbell is a veteran at leading highly successful multi-million dollar civic engagement and issue-based organizing campaigns. As convener of the Black Women’s Roundtable, Campbell brings together Black women nationally to advocate across four strategic platforms: health & wellness, economic security & prosperity, education, and global empowerment. Campbell appears regularly on multiple media outlets, including The Washington Post, Essence, MSNBC, and USA Today. She has received leadership awards from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, National Urban League, National Action Network, Women in the NAACP, and the National Voting Rights Museum & Institute, among others.
