D. Steve Boland is the head of consumer lending for Bank of America, one of the world’s leading financial services companies, responsible for managing a $300 billion consumer balance sheet. He is also the head of the retail segment for consumer & small business and is a member of Bank of America’s management committee. Boland previously served as the home loans fulfillment and underwriting executive, national mortgage outreach executive, and Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) mortgage solutions group executive. His financial services career began in 1990 in Florida at NCNB, a predecessor of Bank of America. Boland is one of the vice chairs for Bank of America’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Council. He represents Bank of America as a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association board of directors and is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council. In 2017, Black Enterprise Magazine named Boland one of the Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America. Most recently, Boland received Bank of America’s Black Executive Leadership Council Vanguard Award for being at the forefront of advocating, sponsoring, promoting, and overall investing in Black talent.
