The classroom remains a critical platform for the advancement of civil rights. Respected journalist Roland Martin and the K-12 national education media group The 74 bring their national School Choice/Black Choice tour back to Indianapolis, hosted by the National Urban League. Launched right here back in December 2018, the tour has mounted Town Halls in African American communities across the country, bringing together education reformers, faith and civic groups, concerned parents, and other stakeholders for an essential, fact-based conversation on the best-possible school options for African Americans. Martin and a blue ribbon panel unpack the myths, politics, and misconceptions about school choice and delve into the realities as they impact communities of color. The stakes couldn’t be higher, for our kids and our communities, for the future of the country. You don’t want to miss this discussion. Join us and participate!
